Le Maître Smoker

In the Pure Corten Multifunction Oven, oven and smoker share the same space, all you have to do is pour the smoking contents into the drawer and place it in the slot located above the fire, the heat from the fire will cause the drawer to heat up and the wood used will start to smoke. The advantage of the smoking box and the fire being in different slots is that the fire continues to burn, allowing the kiln to maintain a constant heat. 

An ideal Oven for slow cooking

The Pure Corten Multifunction Oven has an indirect heat source, which is ideal for slow cooking. The dual air supply at the source of the fire makes the fire easy to control and is further enhanced by a damper between the fire and the oven, which allows you to control the temperature which can be read on the thermometer. The Pure Corten Multifunction Oven also has a water drawer which preserves the flavour of your dish. This is because instead of extracting the moisture and juices from the food you are cooking, the oven is mainly filled with moisture from this water drawer. 

Teppanyaki, cook in Japanese style 

You can turn your Le Maître oven into a teppanyaki version in an instant, just remove the lid, raise the fire and ash pan to the second or third height position and place the teppanyaki plate on top. Then wait until the teppanyaki plate is hot and you can enjoy a delicious Japanese-style meal. Also, if you keep the fire on one side of the pan, you can use the cooler side for dishes that are almost ready. 

A Barbecue to enjoy

With a few simple steps you can turn your Le Maître oven into a perfect barbecue. Simply remove the lid, raise the fire and ash tray to the second or third highest position and place the barbecue grill on top. You can also reduce the temperature by moving the firebox to a lower position.

Place the fire and ash drawer in the lowest position and your Pure Corten Le Maître Multifunction Oven can be used as an atmospheric terrace fireplace. The fire is beautifully visible through the toughened glass plate. This allows you to enjoy the delicious dinner you have just eaten for longer.

What is Corten Steel? 

Corten Steel lasts about eight times longer than conventional structural steels and its strength is comparable to that of other low-alloy construction steels. The orange-brown colour of the rust is characteristic of Corten steel. 

Corten Steel has many applications, such as in architecture, steel construction, shipping containers, shipbuilding, art and garden design. 

Chromium and copper are added to the steel to create a dense oxide skin. The orange-brown colour of corten steel changes over time.
