The lid/griddle is perfect for eggs, sandwiches or pancakes for example, and the casserole dish is simultaneously perfect for other dishes such as fish or meat with its juices. And with the grill and the piece inside the casserole, a second level can be created, perfect for side dishes.

Cast iron is an excellent conductor of heat and therefore aids cooking and helps food to brown and cook evenly, making the food even more delicious as the structure keeps it hotter for longer. And stainless steel is hygienic and durable.

Advantages of the SGS cast iron cookware:

 It has different functionalities, the lid becomes a griddle (reversible, one side smooth and the other corrugated) and inside the pot we can use the grill as a second level.

Recipes will stay hotter on the table for longer thanks to the cast iron.

The included grill is placed inside the pan where we find a stainless steel piece to create a second level. You can steam vegetables in this way, for example.

The lid has a double function and can also be used separately as a baking tray.

What is the Smart Grid System?

The SGS is a unique system that allows not only direct and indirect cooking but also, thanks to the half-moon design, two different temperature zones.

With the SGS with metal frame and detachable handle, it is also possible to lift the complete system (including 2 grids, 2 deflector stones and 2 grease trays) out of the Monolith or into the Monolith.

Here we can see the detail of the system and the ceramic deflector for indirect cooking in two pieces on the stainless steel structure that allows different heights.
Thanks to the two-piece crescent-shaped design of the baffle, grease tray and grill, two different temperature zones can be set up in the kamado and different cooking temperatures can be achieved. With the deflector stones the possibilities for direct and indirect cooking are increased.
