Our Monolith charcoal for barbecues and kamados is a product of the highest quality and certified with the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council, an association that certifies that the wood from which the charcoal is obtained comes from sustainable forests), and only from hardwoods such as beech, oak, ash and hornbeam that is produced in a modern ecological plant with the controlled method of "charcoal burner".

In this long burning process, which reaches temperatures with an energy value of 31,700 kJ / kg, the tars produced are acidic and the result is a uniform, energy-rich char. The charcoal produced by this method has dimensions ranging from 4 to 12 cm, which, when placed in the firebox of the kamado, promote optimum air flow, which is not the case if the pieces of charcoal are too small.

Thanks to the perfect composition, this type of charcoal can be lit very quickly and in 10 - 15 minutes a temperature of 200 - 250°C can be reached.

If you use Kamado Monolith, we can say that with only 3kg of charcoal inside the firebox/charcoal basket, you can cook slowly, at low temperature, for up to 24 consecutive hours without adding more.
